What is Golden Boy Glass?
Nature, Biology and the interconnectedness of all life has always fascinated me and my work reflects that. I strive for each piece to embody the grace, beauty, complexity and balance found in nature. My name is Shane and I started Golden Boy Glass to express my creative intuition and my passion for glass making. I began making glass in 2006 at the age of 19. I started as an apprentice and continued making more tradition blown glass for over a decade. Eventually I realized I had more in my head and heart than what could be created in my spare time. I began my journey into becoming a glass maker focused on sculpture and art, something that I have been interested in since childhood. In 2020 I completed a glass studio at my home in Little Compton, Rhode Island. I now pursue my love of glass making by creating unique one of a kind sculptures. My work is crafted with a keen eye for detail and a neurotic dedication to perfect technique.
